STADA readmitted to AIPM

14.12.2020

December 14, 2020, Moscow - The Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) announces an addition to its membership.  Pursuant to a resolution of the General Meeting, the STADA pharmaceutical company has been admitted to AIPM.

The company is one of the core foreign investors on the Russian pharmaceutical market, contributes to the local pharmaceutical production development and operates two own modern production facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation working according to the best international standards. With its return to the Association, STADA has unequivocally reaffirmed its commitment to the fundamental principles and values espoused by the Association and its members.

"STADA is among the world's most dynamic, fast-growing pharmaceutical companies in the segments of generic medicines and Consumer HealthCare products. It is aimed at further continuous growth, and Russia is its second most important market. STADA has invested a total of €1 billion in Russia over the 15 years of its presence in the Russian market. We continue to invest in local pharmaceutical production even now in the time of worldwide pandemic crisis. We aim to contribute to the strengthening of Russia's healthcare system overall. We are glad to be admitted to AIPM and hope that our close cooperation and sharing of expertise will greatly assist us along the path toward our common objective, which is to supply the population of Russia with safe and effective pharmaceutical products," said STADA Executive Vice President Russia-CIS Stephan Eder.

Welcoming the General Meeting resolution, AIPM Executive Director Vladimir Shipkov stressed: "It is fully logical for a European company with strong roots in Russia to attach its continued success in the markets of Russia, the EAEU and the CIS to being a part of the leading association of international pharmaceutical manufacturers, known for its professional excellence and expertise, as well as its capacity to deliver optimal approaches and solutions for key industry issues in the spirit of constructive thinking and social responsibility, its commitment to innovation in the industry and protection of intellectual property rights, and the highest ethical standards of doing business."

The Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) was established in 1994 to represent leading international pharmaceutical companies operating within Russia. Its members produce and develop modern, effective, safe and high-quality medicines. AIPM unites 60 international companies, which account for over 80% of the world's pharmaceutical production and over 60% of the volume of medicines supplied to the Russian Federation. Website: www.aipm.org
