Eisai, Galderma, Macleods and Takeda – AIPM Members

Eisai, Galderma, Macleods and Takeda were admitted to membership in the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) at a General Meeting of Members of the Association.

A total of four companies have become AIPM members at once. Speaking at the AIPM’s General Meeting, companies’ executives emphasized the importance of joining the Association, as well as the commitment to strict observance of rules and regulations with regard to protection of intellectual property rights and ethical standards provided for by the AIPM’s Code of Marketing Practices. An important role of innovations in the health care system and in the extension of access to the modern innovating therapy for Russian patients was particularly noted. So, Vice President of Eisai in Russia Giovanni Stropoli in his speech expressed readiness to fruitful cooperation in the area of health care and providing Russian citizens with modern innovative pharmaceutical drugs. “Each day dictates new challenges, therefore it is important for us to be together. It is a great privilege to be a member of the АIPM,” said Head of Macleod’s Representative Office Rajesh Sharma.

On behalf of the Association, Executive Director of AIPM Vladimir Shipkov congratulated Eisai, Galderma, Macleods and Takeda with their admittance to membership and expressed confidence in cooperation and mutual interest of the parties. “It is pleasant that the number of Association members increases every year and geographical representation becomes wider. This indicates that the level of international pharmaceutical industry consolidation in the Russian market is growing," noted Shipkov.

At the present time, AIPM incorporates 55 international manufactures of both original and generic drugs that comply with international quality standards. In this regard, the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers is a unique organization that thinks of common interests, problems and challenges much more than of narrow corporative concerns.
