December 11, 2018, Moscow – The Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) announces the expansion of its membership. Following the results of the AIPM General Meeting, the German pharmaceutical company Krewel Meuselbach GmbH and French company Veolia Water Technologies were elected as new members of the association.
"Krewel Meuselbach has been present on the Russian market for over 20 years. Our values are based on an openness to innovation and at the same time loyalty to tradition. We see the importance of AIPM work as a highly professional expert platform that promotes the mechanisms of sustainable pharmaceutical market development and ethical interaction between the industry and the state. We are pleased that our request to join the association was approved and, fully sharing the principles of the AIPM, we look forward to a long-term and fruitful cooperation," said Frank Diesinger, Director General of Krewel Meuselbach GmbH.
Veolia Water Technologies is the first associate member of AIPM. This type of membership was introduced by the new provisions of the Charter, adopted in April 2018. The changes offer the opportunity to join the association for companies operating in the pharmaceutical or healthcare markets in partnership with the medicine manufacturers and committed to share the mission and values of AIPM. This approach is consistent with global trends to expand the sectoral expertise of professional associations.
Veolia Water Technologies specializes in the development of environmental protection technologies. "The company is ready to offer the pharmaceutical industry a wide range of solutions in various areas of activity. It is a great honour for us to become a member of AIPM, and we hope that we can be useful for the association, because we understand the challenges that our partners, manufacturers of the modern, efficient and high-quality medicines, are facing. Thanks to our innovative research and development, we are helping the industry to implement modern approaches to environmental protection and water conservation," said Olivier Jenoc, CEO of Veolia Water Technologies in Russia.
Welcoming the new members AIPM Executive Director Vladimir Shipkov stressed: "Expansion has never been an aim in itself for us, but we are glad to know that companies are actively seeking to be involved in the work of the industry community represented by AIPM. This is the evidence that our expertise and professional achievements are recognized and appreciated both within and outside of the industry. By combining efforts, we pursue one goal – to improve the medical services quality and increase the availability of modern medicines for patients. The association is open to market participants and partners who share our mission and values."
