Larisa Matveeva appointed the Executive Director of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers

March 14, 2024, Moscow – the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) announces the appointment of Larisa Matveeva as the Executive Director of AIPM. The decision to this effect was made at the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Association member companies, held on March 13, 2024.

Larisa Matveeva is a highly qualified pharmaceutical industry professional with over 20 years of experience in managing key functions and businesses in international corporations and is also an expert in liaising with the government bodies and public organizations.

Before joining the Association, Mrs. Matveeva held the position of Vice President for Government Relations, Legal Affairs, and Ethics at the NIZHFARM Group (formerly STADA). Simultaneously, Larisa acted as the General Director of Nizhpharm JSC during 2022–2023. Throughout her career, she has occupied various roles, including regional ones, in international companies across different sectors — Novartis, Honeywell, Hewlett-Packard.

Mrs. Matveeva's primary expertise lies in providing legal support at all stages of pharmaceuticals circulation, the functioning of healthcare systems in the Russian Federation and EAEU markets, as well as dealing with intellectual property rights protection issues and business ethics.

Larisa Matveeva holds a law degree. She is a graduate of Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL) and Lomonosov Moscow State University, Psychology Department.

Mrs. Matveeva takes over her position as the Executive Director of the Association on March 14, 2024. She succeeds Vladimir Shipkov, who had been leading the Association since 2007.
