Public Health ministry of Russia presents the limit pricing methods for essential drugs

Public Health ministry of Russia has elaborated the limit pricing methodology for drugs presented in the Essential Drug list.

Information about actual limit pricing fixed by Russian and foreign pharmaceutical manufacturers is collected with the view of recalculation. All data received is published in Russian Health Inspectorate web-site (www.rznd.ru). Price without shipping and handling charges is published with no VAT metering. Information about the quantity of packs; manufacturing date; serial number and conformance certificate registration date is also included.

Drug importers, on their part, present data on every drug imported in Russia. Information on import volume; shipping customs declaration number and clearance date; serial number and conformance certificate registration date are obligatory for presentation.

According to the data presented by Russian health inspectorate, limit and actual pricing correlation is produced by Public Health  ministry of Russia no less than once a year.

Drug limit pricing registration had been introduced in Russia from the 1st April 2010. The 1st September 2010 the Drug circulation law had come into effect. The pharmaceutical manufacturers had acquired a right to change drug prices once a year in condition of production costs increase. The actual pricing methodology has been elaborated according to the new regulations.
