December 11, 2023, Moscow. – The Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) announces that Vladimir Shipkov resigns from the post of Executive Director of the Association. The decision was adopted at the General Meeting of the AIPM member-companies, held on December 6, 2023.
Vladimir Shipkov has been at the helm of the Association since 2007. Over this period, the industry, the pharmaceutical market, and AIPM which has been the leading industry association during all these years, have progressed together from laying the foundations for modern regulatory framework and ensuring the quality of medicines, as well as from the first steps in implementation of advanced healthcare assessment procedures to ensure range and price availability, to the localization of advanced pharmaceutical production facilities in Russia, technology transfer, implementation of key good practices (GxP) and transition to the supranational regulation level within the EAEU single pharmaceutical market. At each phase, the Association was a proactive solution partner in the process and contributed significantly to the development of the balanced and effective regulatory environment. The member-companies and the Association were guided in their work by the best world-acknowledge standards, aimed at expanding the availability of innovative therapies and high-quality generic drugs for the benefit of healthcare, the medical community, and patients in Russia.
The AIPM Board of Directors expresses its gratitude to Vladimir Shipkov for the fundamental work he has done over these years.

New Association head will be elected in early 2024 in compliance with all the AIPM Statute procedures.
