May 13, 2021, Saint Petersburg — COVID-19 has had a significant impact on the socio-economic development of countries and especially with regards to the healthcare. For more than a year now, the world has been living in completely new conditions, and the pharmaceutical industry has made an important contribution in the efforts to find out optimal solutions to handling the fallout from the health crisis. During the press briefing of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufactures (AIPM), traditionally held during the Russian Pharmaceutical Forum in St. Petersburg, heads of the leading international companies and representatives of the patient community shared their vision of the key challenges and lessons learned following the start of pandemic. They also discussed emerging trends in development of regulatory environment, as well as what further steps are needed to successfully achieve the national healthcare goals. Almost each speaker brought attention to the point that current interaction mode demonstrates how successful the healthcare solutions might be if developed through close cooperation between regulators and the industry on regular bases, how significantly grew speed in decision-making across all sectors of the healthcare, while also stressing the need to focus on the patient-centricity when developing all state programs or initiatives. 

December 14, 2020, Moscow - The Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) announces an addition to its membership.  Pursuant to a resolution of the General Meeting, the STADA pharmaceutical company has been admitted to AIPM.  

It reflects the extreme concern of the professional community about the risk of interruptions in the supply of medicines to the population of the Russian Federation in connection with the expected introduction of the Trace & Track system for medicines as of July 01, 2020. 

• The changes in the regulation environment and transition to digital interactions, which were aimed at fighting against COVID-19, have proven to be effective. This experience should be broadly exploited in the future to deal with other challenges that the national healthcare system is facing.

February 26, 2020, Moscow – The Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) announces that Board of Directors has confirmed the authority of Vasily Ignatiev, CEO of R-Pharm, as Vice Chairman of the AIPM Board of Directors for the second term.

3 February 2020, Moscow – The Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) announces that according to the Statutes and by the decision of the AIPM Board of Directors Mrs. Oxana Monge, General Manager, Sanofi Eurasia, has been elected the Chair of the Board of Directors at AIPM.

Introduction of the Track&Trace system for medicines has been discussed at Izvestiya Multimedia Information Center (MIC).

Representatives of the EEC and regulatory authorities of EAEU member-states, industry associations and the sector in cooperation with the leading international experts discussed the prospects, key challenges and law enforcement issues in creation of the common market of medicines in the EAEU and EU.

On June 18, 2018 in Moscow the Regulatory Workshop was organized by Eurasian Economic Commission and AIPM & EFPIA with participation (F2F & VC format) of regulatory authorities of EAEU member-states, EU regulators, IT specialists and industry to discuss regulatory aspects, practical implementation issues and road map of eCTD implementation in ICH region & electronic submissions in EAEU region.

On May 15, 2018 in the frame of Russian Pharmaceutical Forum in St. Petersburg, a press briefing of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) was held, entitled “PHARMA 2030: what is needed to develop innovation and attract investment in the pharmaceutical industry in Russia?”.

At the end of April, 2018 the EAEU common market, regulating the circulation of medicines in the Union, was officially presented in Brussels within the framework of the international conference “Regional pharmaceutical markets of the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union – trends, challenges and best regulatory practices”.
